Low Level Laser Therapy

Brought to you by Erchonia, the world leader in the field of LLLT technology dedicated to producing safe, effective solutions and currently holds 22+ FDA market clearances for treating pain.

Erchonia's most recent release in February 2023 includes the world's first and only Green and Violet Laser which is the most energetic combination on the market with an FDA market clearance.

Our Erchonia lasers use low-level light in the visible spectrum to stimulate natural healing through light therapy. These lasers have incredible versatility, treating a wide range of conditions. In addition, it is an excellent tool for over-all health and well-being due to the lasers' stimulation of the mitochondria.

What is Low Level Laser Therapy?

Low level laser therapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses laser light at low levels. The light is applied to the surface skin of the body with the intentions of decreasing pain or inflammation, promoting healing of wounds, tissues, and nerves, or for preventing tissue damage. This is much different than the high-level lasers that we know for surgical procedures to cut and destroy unhealthy tissue.

How Does Low Level Laser Therapy Work?

Low level laser therapy is said to work through a photochemical effects (which also occurs with photosynthesis in plants). When cells inside the tissue are stressed via disease and injury, the mitochondria (or powerhouse/place where metabolism takes place inside a cell) produces harmful nitric oxide. The nitric oxide displaces needed oxygen from cells thus causing inflammation or cell death. When tissues absorb the light from the low-level laser therapy, the nitric oxide is dissociated (of irreversibly split) allowing more oxygen back into the cells and therefore increasing tissue oxygenation. Via this mechanism, cell metabolism and mitochondria function is restored allowing health of the tissue. The absorption of the light is also said to increase cell proliferation and migration (regeneration) and to modulate levels of growth factors in inflammatory mediators.

Is it painful?

No, most people do not feel anything. For those that have reported a feeling, it is nothing more than a slight tingling. Erchonia lasers do not heat or freeze the skin.

How Long Do Treatments Take?

The duration of treatment depends on the condition and severity of the condition being treated. Treatment times can last up to 30 minutes long with the average treatment being about 15 minutes.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

The number of treatments varies case by case but the condition and the severity of the condition to be treated will determine how many treatments are needed. For simple, more acute issues, it is recommended to start with 6 treatments and go from there. For more moderate issues, start with 12 treatments. For those battling chronic and long-term complex issues, be prepared for 24+ treatments.

Keep in mind that healing takes time and working through layers is a critical phase that can't be skipped.

How long does it take for laser to heal or improve a condition?

This is dependent of the application; however, progress is immediately evident.

What's the difference between Laser and LED?

Erchonia 3LT® devices used electric diodes, which are high end, culminated and strictly measured within a plus/minus .05%.  LEDs are inexpensive, non-focused wide range light sources.  The primary difference is in performance and depth of penetration.  Laser diodes penetrate, working subcutaneously, LEDs do not affecting the surface only.
